At Sherbrooke Community School, we understand that starting a new chapter — whether it’s beginning school for the first time, moving up to secondary, or joining us from another school — is a big step for both students and families.

That’s why we take great care to make every transition feel smooth, supported, and positive.

🧒 Prep Transition: Starting Big School

For our youngest learners, we offer a warm and gentle introduction to school life. Our Prep transition program includes:

• Orientation sessions to help students get familiar with their classroom, teachers and routines

• Play-based visits to build confidence and friendships

• Information sessions for parents and carers

• Ongoing support throughout Term 1 to ease the transition from kinder to school

We focus on creating a sense of belonging from day one — so that every child feels safe, seen and excited to learn.
