From the early years of secondary school, students are encouraged to think about their future and explore a wide range of career and life pathways. This includes:

• Career discovery activities and interest mapping

• Guest speakers, industry visits and workshops

• Exposure to a variety of post-school options

• Guidance on subject selection in alignment with goals

🛠️ Building Real-World Skills

We know that practical experience builds confidence and clarity. Our students have access to:

• Work Experience placements in Year 10

• Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) as part of VET and VM programs

• School-based apprenticeships or traineeships (SBATs)

• Volunteering opportunities and community projects

These experiences help students develop responsibility, communication, teamwork, and independence — skills that are valued in any future pathway.

Our Careers and Pathways team works one-on-one with students to help them set goals and take positive steps toward their future. This includes:

• Individualised career counselling

• Creating Career Action Plans

• Support with applications (TAFE, university, apprenticeships)

• Access to up-to-date career tools and platforms

• Connections with local employers and training providers

We work alongside families to ensure each student’s plan is clear, achievable, and suited to their unique strengths.
