At Sherbrooke Community School, we use School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
SWPBS is all about setting clear expectations, celebrating positive choices, and working together to build a strong sense of community. We focus on teaching and modelling behaviours that reflect our school values — like kindness, responsibility, respect, and care for others.
Rather than focusing on what not to do, we guide students towards what to do — and we recognise those moments when they get it right. It’s a proactive, strengths-based approach that helps every student feel seen, supported, and valued.
By being consistent, inclusive, and student-centred in our approach to behaviour, we help create a school culture where everyone feels they belong — and where learning and relationships come first.
