Parent/Carer Attendance Process Reminder

If the student is absent from school, please follow these guidelines:

Full/Part Day Absence

On the day of the absence an attendance note should be added by the parent/carer to Compass to provide the reason for the absence. The parent/carer can also email or phone the school.

Late Arrivals after 9am

Parent/carer logs late arrival and the reason for late arrival on Compass or emails the school with the time of arrival and reason.  The student MUST then sign in at the front office.

Early Departures

Parent/carer logs early departure and the reason for early departure on Compass or emails the school with the time of departure and reason. The student MUST then sign out at the front office.

VCE Full / Part Day Absence

Students who have a VCE subject are required to produce a medical certificate for the day of a SAC and submit it to the teacher in charge. In some cases, the VCE Coordinator may request a medical certificate if a student has frequent absences. 

VCE Study Periods

Parent/Carers may give permission via email (for the entire year) or via Compass if they feel it is more beneficial for the student to study from home. Before leaving school, students must also sign out at the Front Office.

Please Note Students are not permitted to leave the school property during a break time or single student period that occurs in the day.
